The FT-1912 is a bare fiber PLC splitter for optical distribution networks where space is tight and the splitter must live inside a pigtail cassette, test instrument or WDM system. The silica waveguide chip sits in a steel tube with 250 micrometer bare fiber leads and no connectors, so it splices directly into the plant with a minimal footprint. It covers 1260 to 1650 nm with low insertion loss, low PDL and good uniformity across 1xN and 2xN configurations. The 1.5 m pigtail and -40 to +85 degree operating range suit EPON, GPON and FTTH/FTTx deployments, including CATV and LAN/MAN extensions.
