FT-1756 0.5 micron Diamond Fiber Polishing Film
The FT-1756 is a 0.5 micron diamond fiber polishing film for ultra-precision lapping of optical fiber connectors and ferrules. Diamond powder is evenly coated on a flexible substrate with adhesive, producing uniform particle distribution and submicron accuracy for fine surface finishing. The 5-inch round format with 3 mil backing supports positioned lapping that saves abrasive material, while the flexible substrate follows curved surfaces for consistent results. It works with dry, water or oil polishing and offers high removal rate with long service life. It is also suited to lapping semiconducting materials and metal rollers. Round sizes of 70, 110, 127 and 203 mm, square sizes of 114x114, 152x152 and 228x228 mm, and banding from 1.6 to 101.6 mm are available.
