FT-3-0MM-105 1 mm PMMA Simplex Plastic Optical Fiber Cable
The FT-3-0MM-105 is a single-fiber step-index PMMA plastic optical fiber cable for short-range data and control links. With a 1470 micron PMMA core and 1500 micron fluorinated polymer cladding, about 96% of the fiber cross-section carries light, which makes termination simple and coupling forgiving. The fiber sits inside a 3.0 mm PE single jacket and operates at 650 nm in the visible range, with a numerical aperture of 0.5 and core refractive index of 1.492. Typical uses include data transmission, FTTH drops, smart home and office networks, automotive wiring, industrial control and monitoring, and military communications. It tolerates 100 N crush load, under 70 N tensile load, and -45 to +75 C ambient. Minimum order length is 700 m.
